Terms of Service
Effective date: 1 April 2026
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the ChekSure platform, website, and services. By booking a service or using ChekSure, you agree to these Terms. Please read them carefully.
1. Who we are
ChekSure Technologies Limited (“ChekSure”, “we”, “us”) is a car inspection and buyer advisory company registered in Nigeria. We operate an independent platform that provides pre-purchase vehicle inspections, online vetting, import advisory, and buyer agent services exclusively on behalf of car buyers.
2. Our services
ChekSure provides the following services:
- Pre-Purchase Inspection (PPI): A certified mechanic physically inspects a specified vehicle using our 120+ point checklist and delivers a written report with photos and a recommendation.
- Online Vetting: A remote assessment of a vehicle listing, covering pricing, photo analysis, model-year known issues, and available history data.
- Import Advisory: Assessment of vehicles listed on US auction platforms (Copart, IAAI, etc.) including damage evaluation, title analysis, and landed cost calculation.
- Full Buyer Agent: End-to-end vehicle sourcing, inspection, negotiation, and delivery on the buyer's behalf.
ChekSure works exclusively for buyers. We do not sell vehicles, earn commissions from sellers, or have any commercial relationship with car dealers.
3. Booking and payment
All services must be booked and paid for in advance through our platform. Prices are displayed at the time of booking. Payment is processed securely via Paystack (for Nigerian naira payments) or Stripe (for international currency payments).
A booking is confirmed only after successful payment. We reserve the right to cancel a booking if payment cannot be processed.
4. Our reports and recommendations
ChekSure inspection reports represent the professional opinion of our certified inspectors based on a visual and mechanical assessment at the time of inspection. Our reports are:
- Based on the visible and accessible condition of the vehicle at the time of inspection
- Subject to the limitations of a non-destructive inspection
- Not a guarantee of future reliability or performance
- Not a legal certification of the vehicle's condition or ownership status
A BUY recommendation does not guarantee the vehicle is free from all defects. A WALK AWAY or CAUTION recommendation represents our professional assessment and is provided in good faith.
The final decision to purchase any vehicle rests solely with the buyer. ChekSure is not liable for any loss arising from a purchase decision made based on our report.
5. Refunds and cancellations
Our refund policy is as follows. For full details, please see our Refund Policy.
- Cancellation more than 24 hours before the scheduled inspection: 90% refund
- Cancellation less than 24 hours before the scheduled inspection: No refund
- Inspection not possible due to seller unavailability or location mismatch: 100% refund
- Online Vetting: Non-refundable once work has commenced
6. User responsibilities
By using ChekSure, you agree to:
- Provide accurate information about the vehicle to be inspected, including location and seller contact details
- Ensure the vehicle is accessible to our inspector at the agreed time and location
- Not share your inspection report with third parties for commercial purposes without our written consent

All content on the ChekSure platform, including inspection reports, templates, software, and brand assets, is the intellectual property of ChekSure Technologies Limited. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our written permission. You may print or save your personal inspection report for your own use.

To the maximum extent permitted by Nigerian law, ChekSure's total liability for any claim arising from our services shall not exceed the amount paid for the specific service giving rise to the claim. We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or punitive damages.
9. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Lagos State, Nigeria.
